Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Facilities Assistant/Weekend Housekeeper to support ward environments during evening mealtimes and maintain high cleanliness standards in the ward kitchen and related areas. You will serve evening meals, assist with soup rounds, and provide hot and cold drinks while following hygiene, infection prevention, and safety procedures.

• Previous housekeeping, catering, or healthcare experience.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and infection prevention procedures.
• Experience working in a hospital or care environment.

Responsabilidades

• Serve evening meals to patients, ensuring meals are delivered accurately and courteously.
• Complete the evening soup round and serve soup to patients as required.
• Carry out the evening tea and beverage round, offering hot and cold drinks.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of ward kitchen and food preparation areas.
• Wash and store kitchen equipment, crockery, and utensils following hygiene procedures.
• Complete cleaning schedules and maintain records as required.
• Accurately complete all relevant paperwork, including temperature checks and food service documentation.
• Report maintenance, hygiene, or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Adhere to Trust policies relating to infection prevention, food safety, health and safety, and confidentiality.
• Work effectively with nursing, catering, and facilities staff to ensure a high-quality service delivered to patients.
