Job summary

Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Patient Services Assistant for weekend evening shifts. You will maintain a clean, safe and welcoming ward environment, assisting with daily cleaning and delivering meal and beverage services to patients and staff.

You will ensure dietary requirements are met and support high-quality patient experience. Working with ward staff and catering, you will help deliver nutritious meals, follow hygiene regulations, and participate in mandatory

• Daily cleaning duties in designated areas in line with cleaning schedules and standards.
• Friendly, helpful meal and beverage service supporting nutritional and hydration needs.
• Adherence to food hygiene regulations and departmental codes of practice.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily cleaning duties in designated areas in line with cleaning schedules and standards.
• Provide meal and beverage service, ensuring meals meet dietary and personal requirements.
• Check correct meal orders, including special diets, are received and distributed, and assist with meal prep and presentation.
• Serve patients, and clear trays after meals and report concerns promptly.
