Job summary

Vets Now Derby is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Nurse on a 12 months Fixed Term Contract from October 2026. The role offers weekend shifts with pay up to £17 per hour, DOE, plus benefits, and a 1:4 weekend rota.

You will join a team delivering emergency pet care, with duties including triage, anesthesia, surgery and in-patient care. RCVS registration for at least six months is required; ECC experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• RCVS registration for at least six months is required.

Responsibilities

• First Aid: give advice over the phone and in clinic.
• Critical Care: monitor in-patient trends and care.
• Diagnostics: perform basic procedures in sole charge.
