Job summary

Vets Now Cheltenham is seeking a Weekend Veterinary Nurse to join our emergency team. This role offers weekend shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, with two six-hour blocks and a flexible pattern designed to fit around other commitments.

You will be RCVS registered, with ECC experience preferred, and ready to deliver high standards of triage, anaesthesia support, and in-patient care. We provide extensive CPD, private medical insurance, generous annual leave, and staff benefits.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered for a minimum of six months.
• Experience with ECC is advantageous.
• Motivated to maintain high clinic standards.
• Passionate about caring for our clients and their pets.

Responsibilities

• First Aid – give appropriate advice over the phone and perform in clinic.
• Critical Care – management and monitoring of major body systems, monitoring of in-patient trends and identifying changes quickly, physiotherapy, pain assessment, wound and dressing care.
• Diagnostics – confident to perform basic diagnostic procedures in a sole charge capacity.
