Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking Dermatology Outpatient HCAs to support weekend insourcing clinics across dermatology services within NHS settings. The role involves assisting clinicians, facilitating patient flow, and maintaining accurate records in busy outpatient environments.

The ideal candidate has hands-on dermatology outpatient experience, NHS exposure, and strong communication skills, with a patient-centered approach and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Recent hands-on experience supporting dermatology outpatient clinics.
• Active in this work for at least 6 months within the past 12 months.
• Experience as NHS dermatology outpatient HCA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and support outpatient clinics.
• Chaperone patients during consultations and examinations.
• Record patient observations where required.
• Assist clinicians during patient consultations.
• Support patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Provide patients with information and guidance as directed by the clinical team.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
• Ensure clinics run safely, efficiently, and in line with local policies and procedures.
• Maintain high standards of patient care, dignity and confidentiality.
