Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Cook for the National Probation Service Approved Premises in Eccles. This lone-working role will prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff, taking ownership of food preparation during weekend shifts and delivering meals to a high standard in line with food safety requirements.

You'll ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards, maintain kitchen cleanliness, and contribute to a safe, welcoming residential environment during

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a cook or chef within a catering, hospitality, or food service environment.
• Relevant culinary qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery (desirable).
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards, with IOSH qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve high-quality meals in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Deliver excellent food service while consistently maintaining high standards.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and EHO regulations at all times.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation in line with best practice standards.
