Sodexo is hiring a Cook at Elm Bank Approved Premises in Cleckheaton to prepare nourishing meals for residents and staff. This role suits someone who enjoys cooking and working in a supportive residential setting with a focus on rehabilitation and safety.

The position is part-time (18 hours per week) with shifts including Friday to Sunday, offering competitive hourly pay (£12.91) plus Sodexo rewards and benefits. You’ll work independently in a lone-working kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a cooking or catering role.
• Sound understanding of food safety and kitchen procedures.
• Good organisational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and customer service abilities.
• Understanding of the Approved Premises setting and professional boundaries.

Responsabilités

• Prepare, cook and serve nutritious meals in line with menus and dietary requirements.
• Organise workload to ensure meals are ready on time.
• Take responsibility for daily kitchen operations, maintaining high standards while working independently.
• Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean, tidy and hygienic.
• Monitor stock levels and replenish ingredients, utensils and cleaning supplies as needed.
• Follow food safety, allergen and health and safety procedures.
• Communicate with site staff about meal requirements, supplies and any concerns.
• Maintain a professional and respectful approach when interacting with residents and colleagues.
