Job summary

Sodexo Ltd. is seeking a Cook in Blackburn to prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff in an Approved Premises. You will work independently, manage the kitchen, and ensure meals are ready and served on time, while maintaining strict hygiene standards.

The role requires previous professional cooking experience, strong food safety knowledge, and the ability to work weekends from 8:00 to 14:00. Join a team that values reliability and service quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff.
• Manage the kitchen independently and ensure meals are served on time.
• Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and uphold high food hygiene standards.
• Check stock levels and order or replenish ingredients and supplies when needed.
• Work well with colleagues and communicate clearly to keep the service running smoothly.
• Follow all health, safety and food hygiene procedures, including when working alone.
