Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Cook to join our team at a National Probation Service Approved Premises in Carlisle City Centre. The role offers 12 weekend hours (Saturday and Sunday) with an annualised opportunity to prepare home-style meals for approximately 20 guests in a manageable kitchen environment.

You’ll lead weekend shifts, preparing and serving brunch on Saturdays and a traditional roast and puddings on Sundays, keeping the kitchen clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook or Chef in catering environments.
• Enjoys preparing fresh, home-style meals.
• Confident working independently.
• Able to organise workload and keep the kitchen running smoothly.
• Takes pride in serving high-quality meals and understands food hygiene and safe practices.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the kitchen during weekend shifts and prepare meals for residents and staff.
• Prepare and serve brunch on Saturdays.
• Prepare and serve a traditional roast and pudding on Sundays.
