Job summary

Hanover is recruiting a Weekend Cook for McAlpine Court, Wishaw. The role covers 16 hours over Saturday and Sunday, cooking nutritious meals and managing kitchen duties for residents.

Experience with food safety and ability to work with vulnerable adults is essential. Local supplier sourcing and compliance with care plans are important aspects of the role.

  • Cook healthy and nutritional meals for customers, including cakes and bakes.

Weekend Cook
Location: McAlpine Court, Wishaw
Working Hours: 16 hours per week (Saturday & Sunday)
Remuneration: £13.46 - £14.14 per hour

About the Role

Hanover are recruiting for a friendly and positive individual to join our team as a weekend Cook at our McAlpine Court development in Wishaw. The role involves working 16 hours over Saturday and Sunday.

You will be cooking and preparing healthy and nutritional meals for our customers as well as cakes and bakes for customers.

Maintaining kitchen to a high standard in line with environmental health regulations.

Ordering and stock control with an emphasis on getting produce from local suppliers.

This role is development based, preparing, and serving nutritious meals for vulnerable people in line with individual care plans. I.e. Soft diet, diabetes, allergies etc.

Desirable
  • A good understanding of Health & Safety and Food Safety regulations.
  • A food hygiene and/or catering qualification.
  • Ideally, one year's experience in a similar / equivalent role.
