Job summary

Hanover Housing Association Ltd in Buckie, Moray, is seeking a Casual Support Worker to help people live independently within our Very Sheltered Housing services. The role covers a 24-hour service with weekend and public holiday shifts, including sleepovers, paid at the sleepover rate.

Successful candidates will bring a genuine passion for care, empathy, and the ability to work flexibly, with PVG clearance and SVQ qualification readiness to meet SSSC requirements.

Casual Support Worker

Location: Linn Coort, Buckie

Working Hours: Various hours

Remuneration: £14.81 per hour

Do you have a passion for supporting people to remain independent? Would you like to become part of our care team based in Buckie, Moray where you will have the opportunity to make a difference to people's lives?

Our Very Sheltered Housing services are development-based and provide enhanced provision to support adults with varying needs. This includes physically disabled, learning disabilities, older adults and vulnerable adults, enabling people to live as independently as they are able with a responsive service adapted to individual support plans.

We are looking for a Casual Support Worker who can help to support a 24-hour service which will include working weekends and public holidays. This role also entails sleepover, and the successful candidate will be paid the sleepover rate for any sleepover shifts undertaken.

Successful candidates will have:

  • A genuine passion for helping people.
  • An ability to demonstrate our values of promoting inclusion, accountability, respect, and collaboration.
  • An ability to work flexibly.
  • An ability to treat people with empathy and recognise the rights of choice and independence.
  • A basic level of digital skills and literacy.
  • A relevant SVQ qualification or willingness to complete the same qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
  • An ability to complete a full and satisfactory PVG check prior to joining (you must be a member of the PVG scheme prior to starting this role with us).
