Job summary

Hanover Housing Association Ltd in Buckie is seeking a full-time Support Worker to join a Very Sheltered Housing service supporting adults with varying needs. The role involves 24-hour shifts, weekends and sleepovers with a sleepover rate compensating accordingly.

The position offers a competitive salary (£26,948 probation; £28,366 after completion), 35 hours per week, and a pathway to SSSC registration with PVG clearance. Progression to a permanent post is expected after probation.

Support Worker

Location: Linn Coort, Buckie

Working Hours: 35-hours per week

Remuneration: £26,948 (during 6-month probation period) increasing to £28,366 (upon completion of successful probation)

Our Very Sheltered Housing services are development-based and provide enhanced provision to support adults with varying needs. This includes physically disabled, learning disabilities, older adults and vulnerable adults, enabling people to live as independently as they are able with a responsive service adapted to individual support plans.

We are looking for a full-time Support Worker who can help to support a 24-hour service which will include working weekends and public holidays. This role also entails sleepover and the successful candidate will be paid the sleepover rate for any sleepover shifts undertaken.

  • A genuine passion for helping people.

  • An ability to treat people with empathy and recognise the rights of choice and independence.
  • A basic level of digital skills and literacy.
  • A relevant SVQ qualification or willingness to complete the same qualification to meet SSSC registration requirements.
  • An ability to complete a full and satisfactory PVG check prior to joining (you must be a member of the PVG scheme prior to starting this role with us).
