Job summary

Co Active Limited in Plymouth is seeking a reliable Chef/Cook to join our care home kitchen on weekends only. You will share responsibility for the overall running of the kitchen and plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents.

Hours are 9.30 am - 5.30 pm on Saturdays and Sundays, with duties including hygiene, stock control, and documentation to ensure high-quality meals and safe kitchen practices.

• Ensure continuity and consistency in meal quality, standards, and routines between shifts
• Cater for residents' dietary, nutritional, and cultural needs
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment at all times
• Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and infection control procedures
• Monitor stock, manage supplies, and minimise food waste
• Complete all required kitchen documentation (temperature checks, cleaning schedules, etc.)
• Undertake additional cleaning and kitchen support duties as required
