Co Active Limited in Plymouth is seeking a reliable Chef/Cook to join our care home kitchen. You will share responsibility for running the kitchen with the existing cook and manage shifts independently.

Responsibilities include planning, preparing nutritious meals, maintaining hygiene, and meeting dietary requirements. The role requires flexibility, weekend work, and a right to work in the UK.

Competenze

• Previous experience as a cook or chef.
• Ability to work independently and manage a kitchen alone.
• Good communication to ensure effective handover between cooks.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Understanding of special dietary requirements.
• Reliable and flexible, including weekends and holidays.

Mansioni

• Independently plan, prepare, and cook nutritious meals for residents.
• Share overall responsibility for the smooth running and organisation of the kitchen.
• Ensure continuity and consistency in meal quality, standards, and routines between shifts.
• Cater for residents’ dietary, nutritional, and cultural needs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment at all times.
• Follow all food hygiene, health & safety, and infection control procedures.
• Monitor stock, manage supplies, and minimise food waste.
• Undertake additional cleaning and kitchen support duties as required.
