Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Cook in Stoke-on-Trent to prepare and serve nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff in an approved premises. You will work independently, taking ownership of the kitchen and daily responsibilities, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment.

You'll follow health and safety practices, manage stock and meals on a weekend schedule, and support residents as they work towards returning to the community.

Qualifications

• Previous professional cooking or catering experience is essential.
• Applicants must be aged 18 or over and able to provide valid photographic identification.
• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures.

• Prepare and cook nutritious, high-quality meals for residents and staff.
• Manage the kitchen independently and ensure meals are ready and served on time.
• Keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and maintain high food hygiene standards.
• Check stock levels and order or replenish ingredients and supplies when needed.
