Job summary

Manpower Group (UK) is seeking a Weekend Cleansing Operative to help keep Northampton clean and tidy, working 07:30–15:30 on Saturdays, Sundays and bank holidays. The role is a 6-month FTC in Northampton (NN4 9RR) with an hourly rate of £12.71.

Responsibilities include bin emptying, litter collection, and moving waste to designated points while maintaining a welcoming public space. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively throughout the day.
• Good attention to detail and pride in maintaining high cleanliness standards.
• Physically fit and able to carry out outdoor manual duties in all weather conditions.
• Ability to interact politely with members of the public and represent the town positively.
• Basic problem-solving skills and ability to use initiative.
• Full UK Driving Licence required.

About the role

Do you take pride in your community and enjoy working outdoors? We're looking for a cleansing operative to help keep Northampton clean and tidy. As a visible and valued member of the team, you'll be responsible for emptying bins, collecting litter, moving waste to designated collection points, and ensuring public areas remain welcoming for everyone.
