Job summary

Manpower UK Limited in London is seeking a Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. You will travel between client sites, performing grass cutting, strimming, pruning, hedge and shrub maintenance, weed control, litter picking and other horticultural tasks.

The role requires a full UK manual driving licence, physical fitness for outdoor work, and a safety-conscious outlook. PA1/PA6 are desirable, and a DBS check is to be completed prior to start.

Qualifications

• Previous Grounds Maintenance experience.
• A full valid UK manual driving licence is essential.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• PA1 and PA6 licenses are desirable.
• Willing to undertake & achieve a clear DBS check prior to start.
• Good local knowledge of South and East London.

Responsibilities

• Grass cutting, strimming, pruning, hedge and shrub maintenance.
• Weed control and litter picking.
• General horticultural tasks across multiple sites.
• Travel between locations to maintain client sites year-round.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Mobile Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team in London, working as part of a team of two across a portfolio of sites. You will play a key role in maintaining outdoor spaces to a high standard, carrying out a range of grounds maintenance duties including grass cutting, strimming, pruning, hedge and shrub maintenance, weed control, litter picking, and general horticultural tasks. As a mobile operative, you will travel between locations, ensuring our client sites remain safe, clean, and well-presented throughout the year.

Requirements

• Previous Grounds Maintenance experience.

• Can-do attitude and safety-conscious mindset.
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
