Job summary

Serco Limited in Watton invites you to join our environmental services team as a Street Cleansing Operative. In this full-time role, you’ll perform programmed and responsive cleansing to keep streets and public spaces clean and welcoming, following safety standards and service requirements.

You’ll operate cleansing equipment, complete vehicle inspections, support KPIs, and build positive relationships with the public and clients.

Qualifications

• Requires full UK driving licence.
• Willing to undertake training and develop new skills.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team and contribute ideas for service improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with a positive and reliable approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Carry out programmed and responsive street cleansing activities in line with service requirements and environmental standards.
• Operate cleansing machinery and equipment safely and effectively, using the skills and knowledge required for the role.
• Support the achievement of key performance indicators by delivering work to agreed standards.
• Complete daily inspections of machinery and vehicles, reporting any issues and ensuring equipment remains clean and serviceable.
• Maintain excellent customer and client relationships, including positive interactions with members of the public.
• Follow all health and safety requirements and take part in training to support growth, development, and continuous improvement.

Street Cleansing Operative

Location: Watton, IP25 6JB
Salary: £26,509.50 plus excellent benefits
Schedule: Permanent, Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 5.30am to 2pm. Overtime available on night shifts, day shifts and weekends.

What you'll do as a Street Cleansing Operative
