Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a Weekend Chef at Crown, Peterborough, to deliver high-quality catering in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will support daily operations, ensure food quality, hygiene standards and customer service.

The role requires experience in a catering or chef position, Food Safety Level 2 preferred, strong food hygiene knowledge, and the ability to work independently and manage busy shifts. On-site parking and uniform provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a similar catering or chef role.
• Food Safety Level 2 qualification preferred.
• Strong understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
• A proactive and positive attitude within a fast-paced environment.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Own transport would be beneficial due to site location and shift times.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook, and serve food to a high standard
• Complete pre and post service checks to ensure smooth daily operations
• Support menu planning and food production, including dietary requirements and allergen awareness
• Deliver excellent customer service to site employees and visitors
• Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and housekeeping
• Process sales and operate cash registers accurately and efficiently
• Complete cash handling and end-of-day cashing up procedures
• Support compliance with health & safety procedures, risk assessments, and safe systems of work
• Work closely with site management to ensure tasks are completed within agreed timeframes
