Job summary

Bromley House is looking for a Part Time Chef to work 16 hours per week with weekend shifts. You will be part of a calm kitchen team, supporting the Head Chef, preparing meals for service users, staff and visitors, and training peers as needed.

You will handle food preparation, storage and costings while ensuring hygiene standards. Candidates must be 18+, have English GCSE or equivalent, and possess City & Guilds 706/1 and 2 along with Basic Food Hygiene certification.

Qualifications

• GCSE or equivalent in English is required.
• Basic Food Hygiene certification is required.
• Previous kitchen experience in a similar environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Prepare and cook meals to a high standard.
• Maintain good food storage procedures and stock rotation.
• Provide guidance and training to peers.
• Support menu development and cost control.
