Job summary

Weekend Chef Bristol at a hostel in Bristol is seeking an experienced cook to prepare home-cooked meals from scratch for up to 22 residents daily. The role involves working weekends (Saturday and Sunday, 12pm–6pm) and taking on kitchen porter duties.

You'll work independently, carry out general kitchen responsibilities, and may secure a permanent position after the initial 8–12 week temporary contract. DBS checks are required initially; enhanced DBS if permanent.

Weekend Chef Bristol

We are looking for a Weekend Chef to join our team at a hostel in Bristol.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing home-cooked meals, mainly from scratch, for up to 22 residents per day. Residents place their food orders in the morning.

You will be working independently, so you must be confident working on your own. The role also includes kitchen porter (KP) duties and general kitchen responsibilities.

Job Details:

• Saturday & Sunday, 12pm6pm
• £15.00 per hour
• Up to 22 meals per day
• 8-weeks to 12 weeks temporary contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent
• Paid weekly, plus holiday pay
• Basic DBS required initially; Enhanced DBS will be applied for if the role becomes permanent
• Good access to public transport
