Job summary

Contract Options in Bristol is seeking a Weekend Chef to join a hostel kitchen. You will prepare home-cooked meals from scratch for residents and handle basic kitchen duties. You’ll work Saturday and Sunday, 12pm-6pm, in a compact, independent role with DBS requirements.

The position is an 8-week temporary contract with the potential to become permanent. Pay is £15 per hour, paid weekly, with holiday pay and good transport access.

• Will also need to do the washing up and keeping kitchen clean and tidy
• Reliable and responsible
• Will need to complete a basic DBS

Weekend Chef - Bristol

We are looking for a Weekend Chef to join our team at a hostel in Bristol.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing home-cooked meals, mainly from scratch, for up to 22 residents per day. Residents place their food orders in the morning and the chef prepares the meals.

You will be working independently, so you must be confident working on your own. The role also includes kitchen porter (KP) duties and general kitchen responsibilities.

Job Details

• Saturday & Sunday, 12pm-6pm
• £15.00 per hour
• Up to 22 meals per day
• 8-week temporary contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent
• Paid weekly, plus holiday pay
• Basic DBS required initially; Enhanced DBS will be applied for if the role becomes permanent
• Good access to public transport
