Job summary

British Summer School Limited is seeking Weekend Centre Operations staff to provide flexible on-site support at the weekend across centres in Worth, Oundle and Uppingham. You will assist the Centre Manager with arrivals, departures, transfers, and daily operations to keep the centre running smoothly.

You will accompany weekend excursions, supervise students, manage welfare and safeguarding in line with procedures, and communicate clearly with the Transfer & Logistics team and Head Office.

Responsibilities

• Weekend Centre Operations: provide flexible operational support across the centre throughout the weekend, assisting the Centre Manager and wider team wherever required.
• Student Transfers: undertake transfers to and from airports and train stations safely, courteously and efficiently, following BSS procedures, duties and safeguarding requirements.
• Student Arrivals & Departures: support smooth check-in and check-out of students, assist with luggage, accommodation, departure prep and transport movements.
• Weekend Excursions & Student Supervision: accompany and supervise students on weekend excursions and off-site activities, following itineraries and risk assessments.
• Student Welfare, Safeguarding & Health and Safety: remain aware of students' welfare, follow safeguarding and Health & Safety procedures, report concerns promptly.
• Communication & Problem Solving: maintain clear communication with the Centre Manager and team, respond to delays or issues while prioritising student safety.
