Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a part-time General Assistant for weekend and term-time shifts at our Winchester location. You will support the team with serving customers, restocking, and maintaining high hygiene standards while preparing and clearing food and beverages for the day’s service.

The role suits individuals with experience in fast-paced catering, a good command of English, and a flexible approach to shifts, including occasional evenings and events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced catering environment.
• Ability to work weekends and term-time.
• Clear English communication, both written and spoken.
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with serving customers and replenishing stocks.
• Prepare service areas for meals.
• Set up, serve, clear, clean and store items for events.
• Prepare basic food and follow hygiene practices.
• Restock consumables during service and assist customers.
• Dispose of rubbish correctly and keep areas clean.
• Occasionally work evenings/weekends for functions and events.
• Adhere to food standards and minimize waste.
• Follow food hygiene and safety policies, including allergen control.
