Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. invites applications for a General Assistant in Winchester. This weekend-only, part-time role supports serving customers, replenishing stocks, and maintaining cleanliness across service areas.

The ideal candidate will have basic food hygiene qualification, good English skills, and a flexible approach to shift patterns including occasional evenings and school events.

Qualifications

• Hold a level 2 food Hygiene qualification.
• Good verbal English understood clearly.
• Written English and reading skills understood.
• Experience in customer or food preparation environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• To support the team with serving customers, replenishing stocks, cleaning.
• Prepare all service areas for the day’s business for that meal service.
• Prepare, set-up, serve, clear, clean and store away food, beverage or equipment for functions.
• Prepare basic food for sale, following hygiene and safety standards.
• Restock stocks and consumables during service and assist customers.
• Dispose of rubbish and recycle appropriately.
• Occasionally work evenings/weekends for functions and events.
• Ensure food standards and wastage controls are followed.
• Follow all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen procedures.
