Job summary

The Earls High School is seeking an enthusiastic weekend Caretaker to take responsibility for opening and locking the school during our weekend lettings, providing ad-hoc support to our letting's community and undertaking agreed repair work. Hours of work are 13 per week worked over Saturday and Sunday all year round with start and finish times to be agreed with the Facilities Manager.

• Open and lock the school during weekend lettings.
• Provide ad-hoc support to lettings community.
• Undertake agreed repair work.
• Work 13 hours per week across Saturday and Sunday, with times set with the Facilities Manager.
• Assist with security and general maintenance as required.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed weekend Caretaker to take responsibility for opening and locking the school during our weekend lettings, providing ad- hoc support to our letting's community and undertaking agreed repair work. Hours of works are 13 per week worked over Saturday and Sunday all year round with start and finish times to be agreed with the Facilities Manager.

The role requires a confident individual who has a good understanding of security, problem solving, general repairs and maintenance as well as being a good team player.

The Facilities Department, part of the Business Team, comprise of the Facilities Manager, two Caretakers and an Assistant Caretaker and a team of approximately 15 cleaning staff working a combination of pre- and post-school hours to ensure the school is a professional and well-kept environment for its students, staff and visitors., We are equally committed to ensuring that no applicant will be disadvantaged or discriminated against because of their protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010.
