Job summary

The Earls High School is seeking a weekend Caretaker to take responsibility for opening and locking the school during weekend lettings and to provide ad-hoc support to the letting community. The role also involves undertaking agreed repairs and maintenance.

Job description

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed weekend Caretaker to take responsibility for opening and locking the school during our weekend lettings, providing ad- hoc support to our letting’s community and undertaking agreed repair work. Hours of works are 13 per week worked over Saturday and Sunday all year round with start and finish times to be agreed with the Facilities Manager.

The role requires a confident individual who has a good understanding of security, problem solving, general repairs and maintenance as well as being a good team player.

The Facilities Department, part of the Business Team, comprise of the Facilities Manager, two Caretakers and an Assistant Caretaker and a team of approximately 15 cleaning staff working a combination of pre- and post-school hours to ensure the school is a professional and well-kept environment for its students, staff and visitors.
