Job summary

Equans is seeking a Weekend Caretaker in Derby to join the facilities team. The role is 18 hours per week, Saturday and Sunday, with duties spanning safety, maintenance, and site upkeep.

A DBS clearance is required before appointment, and a competitive benefits package accompanies the salary. The successful candidate will be physically fit, uphold health and safety standards, and provide cover during holidays or emergencies as needed.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for health, safety, COSHH compliance and policies.
• Carry out first line investigations into building faults and refer to engineers.
• Perform minor maintenance and planned maintenance tasks.
• Snow clearance and gritting in winter.
• Provide general exterior clearance (litter, leaves, debris).
• Maintain smart appearance and observe site rules.
• Provide cover for holidays, sickness, and emergencies as needed.

This is a permanent full time role working 18 hours per week.
