Job summary

Quantum Care is seeking a Weekend Care Assistant for Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. This part-time, permanent role offers 10-15 hours per week with weekend shifts from 7:30am to 2:30pm or 2:30pm to 9:30pm.

The role pays £13.96 per hour for weekend work and is based at Desbrow Lane, Royston. Training is provided, with opportunities for ongoing development within a supportive, no-for-profit organisation.

Qualifications

• Empathetic individual with good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Able to care for older people with compassion and respect.
• Training provided with induction and ongoing development.
• Able to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
• Must be 18 years or over to apply.

• Providing personal care and support, including washing, dressing, grooming and toileting, as well as assisting with meals, hydration and nutritional care.
• Assisting residents with daily activities promoting independence.

We are seeking a Care Assistant to join our welcoming team at Melwood Grange Care Home in Royston. A luxury, 73 bed purpose-built care home set in the Hertfordshire countryside, Melwood Grange offers exceptional care in stylish surroundings, with premium facilities including a cinema, café, hair and beauty salon, and beautifully landscaped gardens.

As a Care Assistant, you will provide compassionate person-cantered care and support residents with respect and dignity to maintain independence.

What You’ll Bring

• It is not necessary to have previous experience of working in a similar care environment because, as long as you are an empathetic individual who has a positive attitude and good communication skills, our first-class training will do the rest.
• You will be able to undertake all aspects of caring for older people with compassion and respect in order to meet the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents.
• Our staff have access to first class induction training and ongoing learning and development opportunities including the opportunity to work towards industry recognised qualifications.
• Our Homes operate on a 24/7, 365-day basis therefore you will need to be able to work shifts (including weekends, evenings and Bank Holidays).
• You must be aged 18 years or over to apply for this job.
