Job summary

Platinum Recruitment is seeking a Chef to help deliver a high-quality food service. The role spans a 12-week temporary period with potential to become permanent, based in Witney, Oxfordshire.

You will manage a kitchen section, prepare dishes to spec, and supervise junior staff while maintaining safety and cleanliness. Ideal candidates will have strong cooking skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a solid understanding of food safety.

Qualifications

• Strong cooking skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work calmly under pressure.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Leadership skills to support junior team members.
• Strong organisation and communication skills.
• A full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Reliable and professional approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Managing and running a designated kitchen section.
• Preparing and presenting dishes to agreed quality standards.
• Organising mise en place to ensure efficient service.
• Supporting and supervising junior kitchen staff.
• Maintaining food safety, hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Monitoring stock levels, portion control and minimising waste.
• Working closely with the wider kitchen team to ensure consistency.
