Brookfield Barn, nestled in West Sussex near Horsham, is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Bar Manager to oversee bar operations during weddings and events. You will lead shift execution, mentor a front-of-house team, and ensure smooth beverage service from welcome drinks to late-night cocktails.

The role requires 1-2 years supervisory experience and a hands-on leadership style, with a focus on delivering flawless hospitality for couples and guests.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or senior bartender experience in high-volume venues.
• Strong leadership and hands-on approach.
• Knowledge of wines, beers, spirits, and cocktails.
• Calm under pressure with multi-tasking skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead bar operations on event days and ensure fast, friendly service.
• Train and supervise seasonal bar staff.
• Manage stock, cellar, and supplier relations.
• Prepare high-volume welcome drinks and cocktails.
• Ensure licensing, health and safety, and allergen compliance.
• Serve as main contact for drink service for up to 200 guests.
• Handle end-of-night closeouts and reconciliations.
