Job summary

Public Health Wales is seeking a Product Officer (Web) to lead web improvements that support public health information and services. You’ll work in the Digital Communications team to translate user needs into actions, manage backlogs, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver accessible, data-driven digital services for audiences across Wales.

The role requires Welsh language skills and experience in analytics, agile delivery, and content management.

Qualifications

• Specialist knowledge of digital/web services, including user needs, accessibility and standards
• Understanding of how analytics and user feedback inform improvements
• Training or experience in Agile or iterative delivery approaches
• Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and how they apply to websites

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate defined streams of work within the web product roadmap
• Maintain the product backlog by writing and refining user stories
• Translate user and business needs into clear actions or specifications
• Explain digital decisions in clear, plain English to colleagues and stakeholders
• Use web analytics to monitor trends and identify improvement opportunities
• Ensure content and updates are accurate and aligned with accessibility criteria
