What we can offer you:

  • Facilities: Fantastic site facilities including subsidised meals, free car parking and much more…
  • Healthcare Cash Plan: The Healthcare Cash Plan benefit provides the option to claim cash back on everyday healthcare expenses such as optical, dental, health and wellbeing and more.

The opportunity: You will act as the technical authority for electrical interfaces between the weapon system and its equipment, ensuring that electrical design, performance, and constraints are aligned across multiple suppliers and subsystems. Rather than detailed circuit design, this role is about owning the bigger picture. Bringing together electrical architecture, equipment integration, and supplier delivery to ensure a coherent, compliant, and high-performing system. You will work closely with internal teams and external equipment suppliers (Design Authorities), translating system-level requirements into clear electrical expectations and ensuring these are delivered, verified, and accepted. This is a varied, hands-on role that spans requirements definition, supplier engagement, integration activities, and system acceptance, ideal for engineers who enjoy working across disciplines and influencing technical direction.

Your main responsibilities will be:
  • Act as the primary technical interface between the weapon system and Equipment Design Authorities (internal and external suppliers)
  • Ensure electrical compatibility and integrity between subsystems, equipment, and overall system architecture
  • Support system-level integration, verification, and acceptance of equipment
  • Define, manage, and mature electrical requirements across the project lifecycle
  • Own and manage Statements of Work (SOW) for equipment suppliers
  • Lead technical reviews, progress meetings, and milestone gates (PDR / CDR etc.) with suppliers
  • Monitor and manage delivery against cost, schedule, performance, and quality targets
  • Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary engineering environment (systems, mechanical, software, power, etc.)
  • Identify and manage technical risks, ensuring appropriate mitigation strategies are in place
  • Make informed decisions on re-use vs. new design in line with programme constraints
  • Ensure compliance with relevant electrical standards, regulations, and certification requirements
What we are looking for from you:
  • Strong understanding of systems engineering and system integration in complex products
  • Experience working at system, subsystem, or equipment level requirements definition
  • Background in electrical integration, power distribution, or equipment design (ideally in defence, aerospace, or maritime environments)
  • Experience working with external suppliers or managing technical delivery packages
  • Familiarity with verification, validation, and certification processes
  • Experience writing technical documentation and working with configuration management tools
  • Practical understanding of electrical systems (e.g. wiring, power, interfaces), even if not currently hands‑on
