Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking electrical or electronic engineers to contribute to cutting-edge missile defence systems within the Missile Electrical Architecture team.

You will specify electrical requirements, define interfaces, design power architectures and ensure signal safety across active missile projects. Hybrid working is offered (4 days on-site); UK/intl travel may be required. DV clearance or willingness to obtain is expected.

Job description

We have exciting engineering opportunities for electrical or electronic engineers to contribute to the advancement of missile defence systems within the Missile Electrical Architecture team at MBDA UK. Join us to work on the next generation of missile defence systems.

Salary

Circa £35,000 - £55,000 depending on experience

Dynamic (hybrid) working

4 days per week on-site due to workload classification

Security Clearance

British Citizen willingness to obtain DV clearance.

Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.

The opportunity

Are you ready to play a crucial role in cutting-edge missile projects? We are looking for skilled professionals to support the electrical/electronic aspects of missile system architecture. Your responsibilities will include specifying electrical requirements, defining interfaces, designing power architectures, and ensuring signal safety.

You will be performing an important and key role for one of the many exciting new projects within MBDA. Supporting the electrical/electronic technical aspects of the system architecture and topology of a missile. Along with this you will specify and determine:

• Data communication and processing architecture
• Requirements for EMC, bonding, grounding and screening
• Signal safety, including routing of safety-related signals

What we're looking for from you

• Ideally a degree or equivalent qualification in electrical/electronic engineering or a related subject
• Previous experience working within a similar role
• UK/international travel may be required to suppliers, customers, and other MBDA sites in UK & Europe.
• DV clearance or a willingness to obtain
