Job summary

At HM Naval Base Clyde near Helensburgh, Argyll and Bute, the Waterfront Daywork Multi Skilled Operative role offers full-time, permanent work with a competitive annual salary of £29,658. You'll join a national defence engineering environment, supporting frontline waterfront operations and contributing to vessel, equipment, and facility readiness.

Day-to-day tasks include safe task execution, following procedures, contributing to process improvements, and adhering to health, safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Experience of waterfront, marine, maritime, engineering, or operational support activities.
• Knowledge of SOPs and safe working practices.
• Understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience with quality assurance processes and standards.
• Knowledge of manual handling and risk assessment.

Responsibilities

• Support waterfront operations to ensure tasks are completed safely, efficiently and to schedule.
• Follow established procedures and safe systems of work while maintaining high operational standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance processes and productivity.
• Work in accordance with health, safety and environmental requirements across the site.
• Perform a variety of operational and engineering support activities within your skills, training and capability.
