Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Work Winning Lead for its Water business in the UK to shape and drive all work-winning activities and build a robust pipeline. You will lead a six-person team and partner with senior leaders to influence revenue growth and strategic market positioning.

You will champion best practices, deliver data‑driven insights, manage Enterprise Critical Pursuits and oversee bid governance, with hybrid working options and a focus on attracting top talent.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership of a bid/work winning function in the infrastructure, engineering or built environment with clear accountability for outcomes.
• Team development: experience inspiring, developing and line-managing high-performing teams.
• Strategic mindset: ability to translate high-level goals into effective work-winning plans and ensure focus on strategic outcomes.
• Stakeholder influence: exceptional people skills, able to challenge and influence senior stakeholders.
• Bid expertise: extensive understanding of work-winning methodologies and major bids in a complex environment.
• Analytical skills: adept at distilling complex data into clear business insights to shape work-winning direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead work-winning team of six professionals and ensure accountable project outcomes.
• Own a multi-year pipeline of strategically important opportunities.
• Drive Salesforce discipline to enable executive decision making and reporting.
• Lead bid reviews, workshops and client value proposition challenges on large pursuits.
• Influence senior leaders and client account managers to adopt best-practice work-winning methods.
• Oversee bid collateral, playbooks and reusable assets for major pursuits.
