Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Work Winning Lead for its Water business to build a robust, multi-year pipeline and lead a high-performing team of bid professionals. You will influence strategy, manage major pursuits, and partner with senior leaders to improve win rates and return on investment.

You will drive data-driven decision making, champion best practices, and ensure governance across bid delivery, reporting to the Strategy & Growth Director for Water.

Qualifications

• Proven bid/work-winning leadership in infrastructure or built environment.
• Experience leading major bids and proposals in a complex, multidisciplinary environment.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to distill data into clear business insights.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and shape strategic decisions.
• APMP certification desirable and degree-level qualification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a high-performing work-winning team and ensure accountability for projects.
• Own and shape a multi-year pipeline of strategic opportunities.
• Monitor budgets, ROI, capture rates, and programme-level improvements.
• Prioritise Enterprise Critical Pursuits and other bids; manage resources and risks.
• Drive Salesforce discipline to enable executive decision making.
• Lead bid reviews, challenge client value propositions, and ensure ROI.
• Maintain bid quality and governance with best-practice processes.
• Deliver reports and insights to inform business planning and strategy.
