Job summary

Penguin Recruitment is working with a growing engineering consultancy in Glasgow to recruit a Civil Engineer to support the design and delivery of water and wastewater projects. You will work with multidisciplinary teams, developing practical civil infrastructure solutions and building your technical and project experience.

The role involves CAD design, using engineering software, and ensuring compliance with UK requirements such as CDM.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Civil engineering design experience, ideally in water or wastewater.
• CAD and relevant engineering software experience.
• Understanding of water infrastructure and hydraulic principles.
• Knowledge of CDM and UK health and safety requirements.
• Chartered status or a desire to work towards ICE, CIWEM or IoW Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Support civil design across water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Develop designs and technical information using CAD and relevant engineering software.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams throughout project delivery.
• Apply water engineering principles and hydraulic considerations to design.
• Ensure work complies with BMS, CDM and relevant UK requirements.
• Liaise with colleagues, clients and project stakeholders.
• Contribute to safe, practical and technically robust design solutions.
