Penguin Recruitment in Glasgow is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to start your career in the water sector. This role offers hands-on experience across water and wastewater projects and a clear pathway toward Chartership within a growing consultancy.

You will work with experienced engineers on planning and design, develop core civil engineering skills, and apply CDM and health and safety requirements on live projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Interest in water, wastewater, utilities or infrastructure.
• Good understanding of core civil engineering principles.
• Familiarity with engineering design software or digital tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Commitment to professional development and working towards Chartership.

Responsibilities

• Support civil design across water and wastewater projects
• Assist with drawings, calculations, reports and design documentation
• Work alongside civil, mechanical, electrical and process engineers
• Develop your understanding of water infrastructure and hydraulic principles
• Apply CDM and health and safety requirements to project work
• Develop experience with engineering design software and digital tools
• Support project teams through different stages of design and delivery
