Job summary

Matchtech is supporting a water consultancy client in London to recruit a Civil Design Engineer based in their Farringdon office with hybrid working. You will deliver civil and structural design for water and wastewater infrastructure, from feasibility through to detailed design, collaborating with project managers and multi‑disciplinary teams.

You’ll work on pipelines, pumping stations and treatment works, developing your technical capability and progressing toward ICE chartership while

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in civil engineering design, preferably water/industrial sectors.
• Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure.
• Preparing and checking high‑quality calculations/drawings/documents.
• Familiarity with British Standards and water industry standards.
• Working towards Chartered Engineer (ICE) status.

Responsibilities

• Deliver civil engineering design from feasibility to detailed design.
• Prepare calculations, notes and reports.
• Coordinate and manage drawings.
• Support projects to programme, budget and quality targets.
• Take responsibility for small projects or elements of larger schemes.
• Assist with day-to-day financial and commercial management of commissions.
• Apply British Standards and water industry standards.
• Collaborate within multi‑disciplinary design teams.
• Share knowledge and support junior members.
