Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer for a Bristol-based role focused on water and wastewater schemes, delivering high-quality designs in line with current legislation. You will lead design integration, support delivery, and mentor team members across projects.

You will engage with clients to manage relationships and ensure successful outcomes, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and driving improvements in delivery using standard designs and digital tools.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Chartership (CEng) highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing design support and guidance, ensuring designs meet current legislation and standards
• Collaborating with commercial, operational, and construction teams to develop efficient and safe solutions
• Engaging with clients to manage relationships and support them in achieving their goals
• Managing the integration of civil design with other disciplines and documentation
• Acting as a technical checker and undertaking technical reviews for projects
• Identifying opportunities to improve delivery processes with standard designs, sustainable solutions, and digital tools
• Undertaking site reviews to ensure buildability of solutions within existing systems
• Supporting the development of the civil engineering team, including mentoring and resource allocation
