Job summary

First Recruitment Group is seeking a Civil/Structural CAD Technician to work on contract in Manchester, with a mix of office and remote work. You will produce 2D and 3D civil/structural deliverables, develop BIM models in Revit, and coordinate with engineers on water and wastewater projects.

Candidates should be proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Civil 3D, with experience in a CDE and civil/structural detailing.

Qualifications

• Qualified to City & Guilds, HNC, HND, or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Proven experience as a Civil/Structural CAD Technician within water, utilities, infrastructure, or engineering sectors.
• Proficient in Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM modelling.
• Experience with Common Data Environments.
• Strong understanding of civil and structural detailing.
• Experience with foundations, drainage, below-ground infrastructure, cable ducting, steelwork, concrete structures.

Responsibilities

• Produce civil and structural design deliverables in 2D and 3D.
• Prepare design solutions from concept to detailed design.
• Develop BIM models using Revit and extract 2D drawings.
• Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D where required.
• Work within a Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Ensure draughting and modelling activities meet programme and budget.
• Coordinate with engineers and other disciplines.
