Job summary

Network Plus is seeking a Water Agent (Site Agent) to lead on-site delivery of infrastructure projects on the existing clean water network in the North West for United Utilities. You will plan, supervise teams and manage supply chain partners to deliver safely, on time and within budget.

The role requires Health & Safety leadership, site-based visits, weekly reporting and close collaboration with design, delivery and commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in the Utilities sector and ideally on clean water.
• Competence, knowledge and experience in deep excavations, civils, drainage, structures and clean water based schemes.
• Competence, knowledge and experience in Street Works and Confined Spaces.
• Health & Safety qualification an advantage
• Awareness of costs and programme awareness
• Good team management and communication skills
• Proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Project is preferable
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Operational supervisory responsibility for New Connections & Developer Services projects and the daily activities that take place on site.
• Site based with regular visits to local sites, reviewing progress and ensuring standards are met.
• Organise resources for schemes (plant, labour, materials, sub-contractors) cost-effectively.
• Manage compliance with Health and Safety procedures (weekly checks, inspections, audits).
• Weekly reporting of site progress to management and client.
• Act as Health & Safety Representative, conducting inspections and investigating incidents.
