Job summary

Arup is offering an Industrial Placement for a Civil Engineer focusing on Water Utilities in Bristol. You will join an integrated team delivering innovative water infrastructure solutions and gain hands-on exposure to catchment management, drainage, pipelines and water treatment systems.

From day one, you will contribute to technical delivery, modelling and drawings while learning from senior engineers in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Studying towards a relevant degree in Civil Engineering or related disciplines.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Python, FME, and GIS is advantageous.
• Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering civil engineering solutions for water utilities projects.
• Assist in data analysis, catchment information, hydraulic models and reporting.
• Support calculations, drawings and modelling under supervision.
• Maintain records of meetings, workshops and technical outputs.
• Communicate and collaborate with internal and external teams.
