Job summary

Marsh Environmental in the United Kingdom seeks a Water Hygiene Technician to deliver maintenance, servicing and repair works in line with current legislation and LC(A) standards. You will perform essential checks, sampling and TMV servicing while ensuring safe, compliant operations on client sites.

You will communicate with clients and Marsh teams, manage time efficiently, wear PPE, and produce precise reports and timesheets.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of water treatment and water hygiene.
• Knowledge of Legionella.
• Knowledge of commercial plumbing and building services.

Responsibilities

• Carry out temperature checks, water sampling, TMV inspection and servicing.
• Carry out shower cleans and disinfections, tank inspections and cleans.
• Service and replace water softeners and filters as required.
• Communicate with clients, suppliers and Marsh personnel to maintain relationships.
• Organise work and time efficiently, working in a team or independently.
• Attend emergency disinfections during and outside normal hours as needed.
• Submit clear, concise reports with recommendations and weekly timesheets.
• Communicate with Contracts Managers on job progression.

About the Role

The Water Hygiene Technician will be responsible for ensuring that the water hygiene and water treatment maintenance, servicing and repair works are carried out in accordance with Marsh, current L.C.A standards and any relevant legislation.

Responsibilities

• Temperature Checks
• Water Sampling
• TMV Inspection and Servicing
• Shower cleans and disinfections
• Tank inspections and cleans
• Service and replacement of water softeners and filters
• To regularly and effectively communicate with clients, suppliers and other Marsh personnel in order to maintain and develop excellent professional working relationships and ensure smooth operation of the business.
• The job holder will be expected to organise their work and time efficiently, and to work supportively within a team.
• Attend to emergency disinfections during normal working hours and outside of normal working hours where necessary.
• Punctual site attendance, wearing relevant PPE and clothing issued.
• Submitting clear, concise and accurate reports of works carried out, with clear recommendations for any further work required.
• Submitting weekly accurate timesheets.
• Communicating with Contracts Managers on job progression.
