Job summary

SOCOTEC Building Control Limited is seeking a dedicated Service Engineer for water consultancy and equipment. The role involves working as part of the Environment & Safety division, traveling as required to service water treatment equipment and conduct analyses.

You will contribute to high-quality reports and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. We value dependable team players who can work independently, communicate clearly with clients, and manage multiple service visits

Qualifications

• Good reporting and communication skills.
• Ability to read equipment manuals and implement procedures.
• Willingness to carry out other duties for the business.
• Positive problem solving attitude.
• Must be able to travel around London and outskirts.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service of water treatment equipment (softeners, RO units, ozone units, side stream filtration, UV, dosing units) and occasional water analysis.
• Perform fault-finding and remedial work on water treatment equipment.
• Provide clear service and water treatment reports with findings and follow-ups.
• Ensure service visits are completed within allocated time.
• Present yourself professionally to clients at all times.
• Work within Health & Safety legislation requirements.
• Replace consumable spares per site maintenance schedules.
• Role includes travel away from base, possible nights and weekend work.
