Water Treatment Engineer

Liverpool St, City of London

Terms:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 17:00

Salary/Rate:

£45,000 - £46,000 per annum, depending on experience

Requirements:

Qualifications needed include:

• City and Guilds in Plumbing
• City and Guilds in Water Treatment
• City and Guilds Legionella Control within hot and cold-water systems
• Experience working with cooling towers
• Demonstrated previous experience in water system remediation/maintenance works
• Working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance material

Responsibilities:

• Conduct analytical testing of cooling towers and closed systems daily, weekly, and monthly
• Maintain logbooks
• Work on chilled water systems and cooling tower maintenance
• Experience with closed systems
• Water flushing and disinfecting mains water pipes and systems as needed
• Use of chemicals such as chemical dosing
• Perform surveys on hot and cold-water systems
• Basic plumbing tasks, including repairing pipework and leaks, dead leg removal
• General building maintenance
• Knowledge of calorifiers, cooling towers disinfection, circulation pumps, temperature testing, tank cleaning, chlorination, water softeners, cold water storage tanks, dip slides
