Job summary

WJ is seeking a mid-senior level leader to build and run a water treatment service line as a standalone division with its own P&L. You will define strategy, shape the fleet and capability, and lead projects from tender through commissioning on diverse site work across the UK.

Responsibilities include designing treatment solutions, developing new capabilities, and supporting pricing, client proposals and business development as the division grows.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry, chemical/process engineering, environmental or civil engineering.
• Proven design, build and commissioning experience for water treatment plants.
• Strong operational experience on live sites, with optimisation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of discharge permits, environmental permitting and water quality compliance.
• Chartered or working towards chartership with a relevant institution.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Define strategy, capability roadmap and commercial model for the water treatment service line.
• Develop treatment fleet, equipment specs and standard designs for scalable offerings.
• Support business development with proposals, pricing and client presentations.
• Develop new capabilities including tunnelling TBM treatment and bentonite treatment.
• Oversee delivery of projects from tender to mobilisation, commissioning and operation.
