Job summary

Finlay Jude Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation within the UK water sector for an experienced Technical Lead to support the successful delivery of major clean water and wastewater infrastructure projects across the South of England.

This role provides engineering leadership across AMP projects, ensuring safety, compliance and long-term value for clients, customers and the environment. Travel across Anglian Water, Thames Water and Southern Water regions is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Process Engineering or related field.
• Significant experience delivering UK water and wastewater projects.
• Proven leadership of multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of water industry standards, regulations and governance processes.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015, health & safety and process safety.
• Excellent client-facing communication and stakeholder management.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across clean water, wastewater and associated infrastructure projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams through feasibility, option study, detailed design, construction and commissioning phases.
• Review and approve technical designs, calculations and specifications.
• Chair technical reviews, design assurance meetings and governance gateways.
• Ensure compliance with client standards and regulatory requirements.
• Champion Safety by Design and CDM responsibilities.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery.
• Support planning, commercial decisions and change management.
• Act as the primary technical interface between clients, design partners and delivery teams.
• Drive innovation and digital delivery within projects.
