Job summary

Marlowe Environmental Services - Part of a Mitie Company, Birmingham-based Water Technician Level 2 role. You will operate, maintain and monitor water treatments to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The position supports the business by performing tasks per method statements and the core rules of Marlowe Environmental Services. Key duties include completing allocated jobs on time, maintaining documentation in real time, and ensuring audit performance stays within targets.

Qualifications

• Experience performing level 1 technician tasks.
• Experience with TMV valve servicing (failsafe and full strip-down).
• Ability to collect and submit samples from domestic systems to a laboratory.
• Excellent time-keeping and professional conduct.
• Valid UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Complete allocated jobs within agreed timescales.
• Accurately complete and submit documentation in real time.
• Ensure audit results stay within acceptable limits (<=2 per year).
• Clean cooling towers and tanks (assist with 2nd technician).
• Monitor temperatures, sample domestic systems, descale and clean showers and outlets.

ROLE: Water Technician Level 2
HOURS: 40 hours per week
SALARY: 28000 Pounds to 32000 Pounds (Based on Experience and Qualifications)
LOCATION: Birmingham

We're looking for a Water Technician who will be responsible for the operation, maintenance and monitoring of water treatments for our customers. This role ensures that water is safe and meets regulatory standards. The position will support the key functions of the business by providing services as and when required, and by carrying out tasks allocated in accordance with all method statements and the fundamental rules of Marlowe Environmental Services.

Role Responsibilities:

• Complete allocated jobs within the agreed timescales.


• Complete all necessary documentation accurately and submit on the electronic system in live time.


• Must not exceed more than 2 audit failures per year.


• Cleaning of cooling towers and tanks (2nd man), tank inspections, and flushing of little-used outlets.


• Temperature monitoring, sampling of domestic systems, and descaling and cleaning of showers and shower heads.

Required Qualifications:

• Undertake all tasks of a level 1 technician.


• TMV valve servicing (both failsafe and full strip-down).


• Sampling of domestic systems and accurate submission to the laboratory.


• Excellent time‑keeping, demonstrate sound work ethics, and be respectful with cultural awareness.


• Valid UK driving licence.
